Using the backroads through some spectacular countryside we will arrive at Cawdor Castle, one of the oldest and best preserved castles in Scotland. The best time to visit is in the Spring when the gardens are filled with Rhododendrons in full flower. There is also a maze and a five mile walk through ancient woods on the estate. We will then go onto Colloden Battlefield. The last battle in Scotland was fought here during the Jacobite rebellion. You can also see a traditional black house.
Moving on to the Glava Cairns you will be taken back six milion years to when fishermen and farmers built stone circles to create a special place. On our return journey we will stop at Nairn where the famous Charlie Chaplin stayed with his family on numerous occasions. He referred to it as "The capital of Scotland".
