This tour begins at the Spey Bay where there is an opportunity to see the magnificent Osprey and Gannets hovering and hunting. Or if you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of some fascinating wildlife such as Otters, Dolphins or Seals basking in the sunshine or playing in the sea.
From here we will drive along the scenic coastal route which boasts exquisite and varied landscape, from beaches and impressive red sandstone cliffs to rolling green hills. Amongst this spectacular scenery is Bowfiddle Rock which is situated just off the mainland from Port Knockie and an impressive castle ruins called Findlater (which is derived from the Norse for "white cliffs") due to the white rock used in it's original construction.
Pennan is the next place we will visit and this quaint village is nestled amongst steep cliffs. The village owes it's fame, as the filmset, to the film "Local Hero" made in 1983 and produced by David Puttnam.
Here the day will come to a close with a well earned and much needed, drink or two in the friendly atmosphere of the local pub.
